I was pinning a lot recently and I noticed a lot of sputnik kind of chandeliers everywhere but not so many of classic "candle" chandeliers. As much as I love modern, brass ceiling lights, I think traditional chandeliers also work great with different styles and add a touch of glamour to the room. I actually struggled to find pictures to prove the point but here is a few I found - do you like them or you'd rather leave the past behind?
